The sun is out, and summer is in the air. People love making fun plans for the summer, like vacations, road trips, and beach trips. What some people forget about is if their car is ready for the changes summer causes for vehicles.

1. Top off engine oil and other fluids: Your car has many fluids that help it run smoothly and efficiently. Unfortunately, the summer heat may cause those fluids to run out faster than usual. We recommend that you check that your car's engine oil, transmission, coolant, brake, and power steering fluids are at the correct level for optimum performance.
2. Check your breaks: How are your brakes sounding? If you hear a squeaking noise, this might indicate that they need replacing.
3. Make sure your AC is running cool: If you drive your car in the heat and notice your AC isn't helping cool you off, this might mean you need to take it to get checked at an auto repair shop. In addition, you can have the cabin filter inspected and replaced if needed to give you the freshest air for the summer!
4. Have emergency kit supplies: A lot can happen when you go on the road for the summer. We recommend that you have an emergency kit in your well-stocked vehicle. You can include a flashlight, a first-aid kit, snacks, water, batteries, and tools.
