Through ACCEL/DFI program, Autotrend Diagnostics can offer the following parts and services:

  • Custom Accel/DFI engine harnesses specifically built to fit your vehicle (New)
  • EFI for any engine (New)
  • Complete stand alone EFI systems to install on vehicles not originally equipped with fuel injection.
  • EFI components to enhance the performance of late model fuel injected cars & trucks.
  • Over the counter and mail order components and/or complete systems with expert technical support for the do it yourselfer.
  • Programming and calibrating already installed ACCEL systems
  • Accel/DFI Engine Harnesses
The engine harness that comes with the Accel/DFI systems is a high quality all-purpose piece. The down side to this harness is it is very generic in nature. It is a harness that works well in a large engine compartment where there is a lot of room, but is not vehicle specific.

At Autotrend Diagnostics, we build all of our own EFI harnesses for the 6.0 and new Gen 7.0 systems to fit Streetrod and custom applications. Every harness is uniquely built to fit the vehicle. Our harnesses feature:

    Packard/Delphi Connectors And Terminals
We use only top quality wire, connectors and terminals in our harnesses. All harnesses are protected in attractive wire looming. Each harness is electronically tested and built to last.

    Single Main Trunk Design
Street Rodders don’t want to see a large EFI harness on their custom engines. Our harnesses are a hidden design usually under the plenum and exiting the engine at the rear, near the firewall.

    Remote Relay And Fuse Panel
We have designed a remote relay and fuse panel that places all the relays and fuses in one location usually near the computer. This allows for a much cleaner installation. A custom sized relay panel can be made to your specifications.

    Custom Fit To your Vehicle
Every vehicle is different. Why should you modify you r vehicle to match the EFI harness? By filling out the "harness work sheet" We can give you a quote to build a harness to your exact specifications. This will allow you to place the ECM and relay panel in the best location for your car.

    Harness Integration
Engine accessory and sending unit wiring can be integrated into the EFI harness. This allows for a cleaner installation. See the harness work sheet for details.

Dimensions: The best way to take these measurements is by using a large diameter nylon rope, laying it out where the harness will be located and then measure the rope. Be sure to leave enough slack between firewall and engine to allow normal engine movement.
Autotrend Diagnostics, conveniently located in Campbell, CA, opened its doors in May of 1989. The original concept was to create an automotive facility that specialized in the diagnosis and repair of the electronic fuel injection and on-board computer systems being used in almost all late model vehicles.

Autotrend Diagnostics developed a reputation as a shop that could diagnose and repair problems other shops could not. As the customer base grew, along with the business, it was becoming evident that these valued clients wanted to trust "all" of their automotive needs to Autotrend. Now Autotrend Diagnostics is a full service facility offering general repair, preventive maintenance, as well as staying on the cutting edge of automotive diagnostics and electronics.

In order to earn Diamond Certified, a local service company must apply to be rated by American Rating Corporation (ARC) and pass each step of its twelve-step rating and certification process. ARC actually pulls a random sample of past clients from the applicant’s files and surveys typically 100 past clients by telephone. Most companies can’t pass the rating because a client satisfaction survey score of greater than 88 on a scale of 100 is required. In addition, ARC verifies proper insurance, state licenses, complaint status, business practices, financial stability and legal judgment status. Additionally, each quarter and additional 25 random clients are surveyed to ensure the Diamond Certified Company is maintaining its high client satisfaction.

As a California State Automobile Association (CSAA) Approved Auto Repair facility we have met exacting standards of reliability and quality in the areas of client satisfaction, staffing, training, equipment, and our facility which provides an additional measure of confidence for all our clients.  CSAA performs a client satisfaction survey during the approval process.  Autotrend Diagnostics score an unprecedented 100%!

    Blue seal of excellence facility

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) offers a testing and certification program to professional automotive technicians.

Automotive Service Councils of California is a confederation of shops commonly bound by an interest in the automotive industry to uphold and improve the high standards and integrity of the profession.

The Association works to assist the individual member in confronting problems. They assist in the education of members and future technicians. They dedicate themselves, through their own personal obligation, toward future growth and expansion by professional, ethical practice. Through avenues available to them, the Association seeks to correct abuses within the industry.

In addition, CSAA members enjoy an added benefit: CSAA guarantees our work for their members for 12 months or 12,000 miles. If during this time a CSAA member has a problem or complaint that we don't satisfy CSAA will investigate. We are bound by contract with CSAA to abide by their decision. If you are not a member and this valuable service interests you, join AAA today.

Twice yearly the institute gives a series of written tests which measure diagnostic and repair skills. Upon passing the exam, and providing proof of a minimum of two years of hands-on experience, a professional becomes ASE certified in a particular area, such as Brakes, Automatic Transmissions, Steering, etc. There are eight basic tests and several advanced tests.

Any professional who is certified in all eight areas is certified as a Master Automotive Technician. Every 5 years, professionals must be retested to remain certified.  To achieve this high standard, our technicians attend on going training to keep them on the cutting edge of the ever advancing technology in today’s vehicle.
